The letter can have any structure but should contain the following elements:
1. What you are asking for (thing or matter)
2. Arguments why it is important to you
3. Possible commitment of what you want to give/give in return.
Proposed structure of the letter to Saint Joseph:
1. Request – describe it precisely (See: What questions should you ask yourself to write a letter to Saint Joseph? >>)
2. Justification (I need it because?) E.g. To create a good environment for children to grow towards holiness, and towards holiness yourself
3. Specifying a date by when it should happen (after this date it will no longer be necessary, and I won’t have time to prepare for it before that)
4. Commitment (what I will do, I will do repeatedly in return – the important thing is that you can and it is better to start doing it before receiving it)
5. Signing – it is important that you sign this. So that you feel connected to the words you give.
The answer to all questions must be developed (added) as you answer subsequent questions.
